Platts proposes to discontinue MHP CIF North Asia payables assessments basis Platts nickel sulfate

Platts, part of S&P Global Energy, proposes to discontinue its price assessments for mixed hydroxide precipitate (MHP) CIF North Asia payables basis Platts nickel sulfate, effective June 1, 2026.

The proposed discontinuation follows industry feedback and reduced trading activity observed for MHP payables based on nickel sulfate prices, and a shift towards MHP payables based on the monthly average values of nickel futures over the past two years.
