Platts, part of S&P Global Energy, has launched four new daily US chicken price assessments effective March 2, 2026.
These new assessments complement the existing Platts "field-to-fork" coverage of US protein and animal feed, which includes the US Chicken Marker and US boneless skinless breast, while providing increased transparency to the global chicken market.
The new assessments target additional chicken cuts primarily traded in the US domestic market, with the largest concentration of chicken broiler facilities located in Southeast states.
The specifications for the new price assessments are as follows:
