Correction

A story with the headline "Affordability and load growth clash has state regulators on the hot seat" published in the Feb. 11, 2026, edition of The Energy Daily, Megawatt Daily, and Coal Trader and in the Feb. 13, 2026, edition of Inside FERC incorrectly stated expectations for utility investments.

David Springe, executive director of the National Association of State Utility Consumer Advocates, said the Edison Electric Institute expects its members to spend about $1.1 trillion over the next four years.
