Platts proposes to discontinue several New York, Connecticut and New Hampshire US Renewable Energy Certificates assessments May 4

Platts, part of S&P Global Energy, is proposing to discontinue several US Renewable Energy Certificates (RECs) price assessments, effective May 4, 2026.

Platts is proposing to discontinue New York Tier 1 RECs for Prior, Current and Next Year vintages due to regulatory changes limiting liquidity.

Platts assessments for New York Wind RECs would not be impacted by this change.

Platts is also proposing to discontinue Connecticut REC Class 1 Prior Year Vintage and New Hampshire REC Class 1 Prior Year Vintage due to limited liquidity for these contracts.

Platts will continue to assess Connecticut REC Class 1 Current and Next Year vintages and New Hampshire REC Class 1 Current and Next Year vintages.
