Following Worldscale Association updates for the ports of Hound Point and Teesside, Platts, part of S&P Global Energy, will amend the $/mt flat rates for the Hound Point-Rotterdam and Teesside-Rotterdam 80,000 mt routes effective March 2.
Please refer to the Worldscale website for more information on its update.
The updated flat rates feed into the Hound Point-Rotterdam, Teesside-Rotterdam and North Sea-Rotterdam Freight Adjustment Factors (FAF), which are used for netting back CIF Rotterdam Forties, Ekofisk and WTI Midland values to FOB-equivalent values, respectively.
As a result of these updates, the weighted average flat rate used in the calculation of the WTI Midland North Sea-Rotterdam FAF will be $7.25/mt from March 2.
