Platts reaffirms guidelines on reporting Middle East crude MOC activity

S&P Global Platts continues to publish all interest from approved market participants to bid, offer or trade partials of Dubai, Oman, Upper Zakum, Al Shaheen or Murban crudes in the Platts Market on Close assessment process for Middle East crude that is provided in line with its published methodology.

Platts does not specify any thresholds, limits or restrictions on approved market participants to report information on their bids, offers or trades as long as they conform to Platts editorial guidelines governing the MOC process.

Platts endeavors to publish all information received so that it can be fully tested by the market at large. All data that has been published through the day is analyzed during the assessment process.

Platts Middle East crude MOC process is supported by eWindow, a communication tool licensed from ICE to allow the submission of data to Platts. In instances where data submission from the eWindow communication tool is not possible, credible information received from companies to bid, offer or trade is reported via headlines published by Platts editors in accordance with Platts' timing and increment guidelines.
