Platts discontinues two North American Potash price assessments

Platts, part of S&P Global Energy, has discontinued two North American potash assessments effective Jan. 28, 2026.

This follows a review of American Potash market dynamics and trade flows, with a focus on key fertilizer-producing and consuming regions.

The assessments that have been discontinued are:

The last publication date for these assessments was Jan. 27, 2026.

These assessments were published in the weekly US Fertilizer Report, bi-weekly Potash Market Report and on Platts Connect.

The Potassium Chloride Standard FOB Vancouver Spot (FKCIB04) and the Potassium Chloride Granular FOB Vancouver (FKCIM04) assessments have not been affected by this change.

Platts originally proposed the discontinuation on Oct. 23, 2025, in a subscriber note available here and confirmed the discontinuation Nov. 11, 2025.
