Platts discontinues Brazil, Chile and Vietnam I-RECs Biomass assessments Jan 22
Platts, part of S&P Global Energy, has discontinued its Biomass I-REC assessments for Brazil, Chile, and Vietnam, effective Jan. 22, 2026.
Platts has discontinued these assessments due to low issuance combined with low liquidity for Biomass technology certificates in these countries.
Platts published its decision to make the change on Nov. 12, 2025, available here.
