SUBSCRIBER NOTE: S&P Global Platts proposes to discontinue three ASIA nonferrous metals assessments

S&P Global Platts is proposing to discontinue its weekly non-ferrous assessments of Silicon 553, Magnesium 99.8% and Magnesium Diecast Alloy on May 1, 2019 due to changes in the liquidity in the market and thin export spot trades.

Platts is seeking feedback on this proposal by February 8, 2019.

The assessments S&P Global Platts is proposing to discontinue carry the codes of MMAJF00 for Silicon 553 grade FOB China; AAVSK00 for Magnesium 99.8% FOB China and MMDCH04 for Magnesium Diecast Alloy FOB China.

The last assessment day would be Thursday April 25, 2019 for Silicon 553 grade FOB China and Friday April 26, 2019 for Magnesium 99.8% and Magnesium Diecast Alloy.
