Platts to launch South American biofuels, soybean oil assessment weekly averages, Feb. 9

Platts, part of S&P Global Energy, will launch weekly averages for South American ethanol, soybean oil, and biodiesel assessments, effective Feb. 9.

The new weekly averages will complement Platts' existing assessment offerings for biofuels.

The weekly averages will enhance Platts' current suite of daily assessments for domestic Brazilian and Argentine biofuels and soybean oil, as well as their respective monthly averages, providing additional price transparency and analytical value to market participants.

All ethanol and biodiesel averages will be available on the Platts Biofuels Alert fixed page 0221, while soybean oil averages will be published on fixed page 0020. They will also begin to be published in the Brazil Fuels Market Report in 2026.
