SUBSCRIBER NOTE: Platts amends Worldscale flat rate baskets for a number of dirty tanker assessments

Following the Worldscale Association circular number 4 for year 2018, Platts will amend the Worldscale flat rates baskets that are used for $/mt calculations in a number of dirty tanker assessments, effective February 1, 2018.

According to the Worldscale circular, flat rates involving loading or discharging at the port of Novorossiisk were revised "in light of recent information received regarding a revised port tariff structure." With these amendments, the new flat rates involving Novorossiisk are obtained by deducting $0.18 to all flat rates involving this port.

For dirty tanker assessments, Platts uses averages of the corresponding baskets of Worldscale flat rates as a basis for $/mt calculations for every route. A full table showing affected Platts assessments, considering Worldscale flat rate amendments is provided below.
