Platts, part of S&P Global Energy, proposes to launch weekly dipropylene glycol industrial grade spot assessments, for Northwest Europe, effective Feb. 27, 2026.
Under the proposal, Platts would assess Industrial Grade Dipropylene Glycol (DPGi), on FCA Northwest Europe basis. The assessment would complement the already existing propylene glycol assessments.
The proposed assessment would be based on the latest information sourced from the market up to the close of the assessment process, including firm bids and offers, trades and indicative values, as well as any other data deemed relevant to the assessment process.
Details of the proposed assessments are as follows:
| Product | Dipropylene Glycol Industrial Grade |
| Laycan | 3-30 days forward |
| Basis and location | FCA NWE |
| Cargo size | 24 -100 mt |
| UOM | Eur/mt |
| Product specification | minimum 99% purity |
| Timestamp | 16:30 London |
The weekly assessments would be published on Fridays, alongside a weekly commentary, which would form part of the existing propylene oxide/ propylene glycol commentary and would appear on Platts Connect and in Olefinscan. The new assessment would follow a UK holiday publication schedule, and in the event of a Friday holiday, it would be published one day earlier.
Pricing information for materials with other specifications and terms deviating from the above mentioned parameters may be normalized accordingly.
