Platts to launch of DAP CFR Southeast Asia basis Ko Sichang, Thailand assessment Feb. 5

Platts, part of S&P Global Energy, will launch an assessment of Diammonium Phosphate CFR Thailand, effective Feb. 5, 2026. This assessment will further improve transparency in the DAP market in Southeast Asia.

The assessment will be published as a single "close" value, with a standardized range of $1/mt above (high) and below (low). Specifications for the proposed assessment are as follows:

Assessment Name: Diammonium Phosphate CFR Thailand

Bulk Quality: Duty-free dark brown DAP with nitrogen content of 18%, a standard P205 content of 46%, and a maximum moisture content of 2.5%.

Quantity: 6,000-8,000 mt

Location: CFR Ko Sichang Port, Thailand

Timing: Delivery 14-45 days forward

Frequency: Weekly, on Thursday

Timestamp: 16:30 Penang close, published according to the Penang publishing calendar

Information on other relevant markets - including DAP of different colors, qualities, sizes and locations - will be considered and normalized, where necessary, to align with the standard specifications listed above.

The launch was initially proposed on Nov. 17, 2025.
