Platts reflects Nabisy PoS as standard in Ethanol T2 FOB Rdam MOC Jan 2 2026

Platts, part of S&P Global Energy, now requires Nabisy Proof of Sustainability (PoS) as standard in the Ethanol T2 FOB Rotterdam barge (AAYDT00) Market on Close assessment process, effective Jan. 2, 2026. Platts has also clarified expectations on the PoS transfer timing process.

The provision of Nabisy-registered PoS documentation and transfer via the Nabisy system has become a standard requirement for all Ethanol T2 FOB Rotterdam barge indications in the MOC.

Nabisy is Germany's web-based application for sustainable biomass, operated by the Federal Office for Agriculture and Food.

The implementation of the Nabisy PoS requirement is intended to enhance transparency across the supply chain.

The Platts T2 Ethanol FOB Rotterdam assessment reflects ethanol that meets the sustainability and certification requirements of the Renewable Energy Directive (RED) and is accompanied by a PoS that is registered in the Nabisy system.

In addition, the transfer of PoS documentation and the Nabisy-registered PoS to the Nabisy system between counterparties must now occur within 30 days of barge loading, or 30 days after title and risk of product have transferred to the buyer.

This change has been implemented following a proposal published July 30, 2025, with a decision published on Oct. 28, 2025.

Full details on Platts T2 Ethanol assessment can be found in the Global Biofuels specifications guide.
