Platts enhances Asian oxo-alcohols coverage, effective June 4

Platts, part of S&P Global Energy, has enhanced its Asian oxo-alcohols coverage by restructuring its rationale and commentary, effective June 4.

To provide greater transparency into these markets and more granular insights, Platts will focus its existing oxo-alcohols rationale and commentary on 2-ethyl-hexanol (2-EH), normal butanols (NBA) and isobutanols (IBA). Platts has also added a new plasticizer commentary and rationale, dedicated to phthalic anhydride (PA), dioctyl phthalate (DOP) and dioctyl terephthalate (DOTP).

The changes are as follows:

The updated Asia Weekly Oxo Alcohols and the new Asia Weekly Plasticizers commentaries and rationales will continue to be published in Solventswire on Tuesdays.

There are no changes to the underlying methodology or frequency of the spot assessments or monthly averages.
