Ream lowers diesel prices to Real 3,704.40/cu m, effective Aug. 19
Diesel price reduction aligns with Acelen's recent adjustments
S10 import parity decreases from July to Real 3,211.60/cu m
Brazilian oil refiner Ream decreased its posted diesel prices but kept gasoline stable for distributors Aug. 18 amid external market volatility, with the new prices becomingeffective Aug. 19.
For ultra low sulfur diesel -- or S10, as it is called in the country -- Ream's posted prices fell Real 63.60 to Real 3,704.40/cu m on an EXA Manaus basis.

Ream's reduction was in line with Acelen's movement Aug. 15. The private refiner also dropped S10 prices by Real 150/cu m after reducing them by Real 20/cu m the day before. At locations in Bahia, prices were unchanged after decreasing Real 41.70/cu m.
Ream kept its gasoline A prices unchanged at Real 3,151.30/cu m on an EXA Manaus basis. Gasoline is considered A-grade in Brazil when it has not yet been blended with ethanol for retail sale.

Platts assessed the gasoline import parity price in Manaus at Real 2,494.67/cu m Aug. 15, down Real 87.54 compared to July 25, the last time Ream announced gasoline posted prices.
Ream is owned by fuel distributor group Atem and operates the Isaac Sabba refinery in the Brazilian Amazon region, which is temporarily closed. Its posted prices are for prompt delivery to distributors and do not include taxes, according to the refiner's website.
