Mills raise rebar list prices $65/st
Increases effective immediately
Pittsburgh — Commercial Metals Co., Gerdau Long Steel North America, Steel Dynamics Inc. and Nucor have independently announced price increases of $65/st on rebar, according to letters sent to customers.
On the evening of Dec. 3, CMC informed customers it would increase rebar prices by $65/st effective immediately.
Gerdau followed with a $65/st rebar price increase of their own on the morning of Dec. 4., as did SDI, with Nucor sending to customers a $65/st rebar price increase later in the day. The Gerdau, SDI, and Nucor increases were all effective immediately.
This marks the second round of rebar price hikes in as many weeks, following letters sent by mills announcing $30/lt increases effective Nov. 23.
According to letters sent by all four companies at the end of last week, orders placed before close of business Dec. 3 will be price-protected.
