SRM Concrete expands Florida network

Hollingshead Cement, the bulk cement division of SRM Concrete, has opened a new cement terminal in Tampa, Florida, expanding the company's distribution network into Central Florida.

The terminal has storage capacity of 50,000 tons and receives cement by ship. It will distribute cement to SRM Concrete's ready-mix operations and other customers across Florida.

The facility is part of SRM Concrete's broader expansion in the state, where the company has been adding ready-mix plants and increasing its cement supply infrastructure.

"We've continued to invest in the state of Florida by opening new ready-mix plants and expanding our ability to serve customers," said SRM Concrete CEO Jeff Hollingshead. "Our Tampa terminal supports that growth by strengthening the cement supply our teams depend on every day. As we grow, we're committed to building the infrastructure needed to deliver consistent quality and reliable service."

Platts, part of S&P Global Energy, last assessed Cement CIF Houston at $92.5/mt Oct. 8.
