Turkey’s June cement exports rise 26.4% year over year

Turkey's cement exports rose 26.4% year over year to 1.72 million metric tons in June, while clinker exports increased 15.8% to 0.86 million mt, according to monthly data published by the Turkish Cement Manufacturers' Association.

In the year to June, cement exports rose 9.3% to 8.17 million mt. Cement production dropped 1.5% to 41.51 million mt, while domestic sales fell 3.4% to 33.20 million mt and total sales declined 1.1% to 41.37 million mt.

The year-to-date clinker production rose 2.3% to 39.13 million mt, while clinker exports dropped 23.2% to 2.89 million mt.

Domestic cement sales increased 28.7% year over year to 7.18 million mt, helping lift total sales by 28.3% to 8.91 million mt. Cement production rose 16.6% to 8.52 million mt, while stocks fell 15.5% to 0.91 million mt.

Clinker production edged up 1% year over year in June to 7.04 million mt, while clinker stocks climbed 35.4% to 6.03 million mt.
