Pittsburgh — Monomoy Capital Partners has acquired Ohio-based aluminum extruder Astro Shapes for an undisclosed amount, both companies said Jan. 4.
As a result of the purchase, Monomoy will own all three of Astro's manufacturing facilities that serve customers in the US Midwest and Northeast, according to a statement.
Astro produces custom extrusions in over 14,000 shapes and sizes from aluminum billets of six, seven and eight inches in diameter using computerized extrusion presses.
The extruder specializes in aluminum products for recreational vehicles, windows, doors, medical applications and capital equipment.
