By the late 2020s, a series of natural gas pipeline expansions across the US Southeast promises to bring additional supply to existing, under-construction, and proposed power plants. Power entities have contracted for most of the 5.7 Bcf/d of new capacity, which could help to reduce growing price volatility, especially at hubs along the US Gulf Coast.
