FUJAIRAH DATA: Oil product stocks rise record 56% in one week

Oil product inventories at Fujairah in the UAE rose 56% in the week to Sept. 7, the biggest weekly gain on record, according to Fujairah Oil Industry Zone data published Sept. 9 and compiled by Platts, part of S&P Global Energy, since 2017.
The total inventory rose to 9.982 million barrels, an eight-week high, according to the data. Saudi Arabia and Oman were the main suppliers to Fujairah during the week, with clean products and diesel leading the way, according to S&P Global Commodities at Sea.
Heavy distillates, used for power generation and as ship fuel, expanded 80%, also a record for one week, to 5.633 million barrels — the highest in seven weeks, the data showed.
Middle distillate stocks, such as jet fuel and diesel, increased 31% to 2.286 million barrels, the highest since March 9, FOIZ data showed.
Light distillate stocks, such as gasoline and naphtha, climbed 33% to 2.063 million barrels, the highest since June 1, according to the data.
The Platts-assessed marine fuel oil 0.5%S sulfur Fujairah delivered bunker price rose 3.6% day over day to $870/metric ton Sept. 8, the highest since June 29.
The Platts-assessed high sulfur fuel oil delivered to Fujairah rose 3.4% over the same period to $662/mt Sept. 8, the highest since June 2.
