Oil products inventories at Fujairah in the UAE rose 7.5% in the week ended Aug. 3 to a two-week high of 7.002 million barrels, rebounding from two straight weeks of declines, according to Fujairah Oil Industry Zone data published Aug. 5.

Heavy distillate stocks, used as shipping fuel and for power generation, rose 8.6% to 3.787 million barrels, the first increase in four weeks, according to FOIZ.

Middle distillate inventories, such as jet fuel and diesel, increased 10% to a four-month high of 1.593 million barrels, the data showed.

Light distillate stocks, including gasoline and naphtha, expanded 2.6% to a three-week high of 1.622 million barrels, showed the data.

Platts, part of S&P Global Energy, assessed marine fuel oil 0.5% sulfur delivered Fujairah at $798/metric ton on Aug. 4, down from a recent high of $845/mt on July 23.

The Platts-assessed high-sulfur fuel oil delivered Fujairah was at $595/mt on Aug. 4, down from a recent high of $645/mt on July 23.
