Argentina cement dispatch jumps 18.4% in March

Argentina's cement dispatch rose sharply in March 2026, driven by a strong rebound from February, according to provisional industry data published by AFCP.

Domestic dispatch totaled 825,732 metric tons in March, up 18.4% from 696,458 mt in February. On a year over year basis, it rose 11.0% compared with March 2025.

Consumption figures (domestic dispatch plus imports) showed a similar pattern. Total consumption in March 2026 reached 825,930 mt, up 18.6% from February, supported by a small volume of imports of 198 mt, after none were recorded in February. Year over year, total consumption increased 11.6% from 740,195 mt in March 2025.

On an accumulated basis, total dispatch for January-March 2026 stood at 2,323,805 mt, broadly stable versus the same period in 2025, with AFCP showing a minus 0.4% year-to-date total through March.
