Partnership promotes 0% clinker cement usage

Previous projects demonstrate technical feasibility

Low-carbon cement producer Hoffmann Green Cement Technologies and specialized construction company Le Coq Construction have announced a strategic partnership to enable Le Coq Construction to use Hoffmann Green's 0% clinker cement in future construction sites, enabling Le Coq Construction to incorporate materials with a lower environmental impact, according to a joint statement March 18.

"Following several successful initial projects, we are delighted to formalize this collaboration in order to accelerate the adoption of our technologies in Brittany," Julien Blanchard and David Hoffmann, co-founders of Hoffmann Green Cement Technologies, said.

According to the statement, Le Coq Construction has previously used Hoffmann Green 0% clinker cement in multiple projects, such as the Terra Mera residential complex, built for Promoty, as well as a 37-unit apartment complex in Lannion for Korenn Immobilier.

"The use of Hoffmann Green cements in our first projects has demonstrated their technical feasibility and high-quality application," Mathieu Stoll and Damien Lecreurer, directors of Le Coq Construction, said.

"This partnership is fully in line with our commitment to reducing the carbon footprint of our projects while maintaining our standards for performance and reliability on-site," Stoll and Lecreurer said.

Platts, part of S&P Global Energy, last assessed the CEMDEX Turkey price, reflecting ordinary Portland cement CEM I 42.5R (bulk), at $54.50/metric ton FOB on March 12.
