Platts, part of S&P Global Commodity Insights, is proposing to launch Ethyl Acetate FOB China and CFR Southeast Asia spot assessments, effective Nov. 5.
Details for the proposed assessments are as follows:

Platts would consider price information for Indonesia, Vietnam, Thailand and Malaysia for the CFR SEA assessment. Platts understands that the prices are currently consistent across the key ports in these countries, such as Merak (Indonesia), Vungtao, Haiphong, Dongnai (Vietnam), Bangkok (Thailand), Port Klang, Pasir Gudang (Malaysia). In case of price deviation, Platts would normalize to basis Indonesia.
The proposed weekly assessment would take into consideration price information gathered up to the close of the assessment process at 4:30 pm Singapore time on Tuesdays and follow the Singapore holiday calendar.
