The world's most widely-used oil price benchmark, Dated Brent, which underpins the value of more than two-thirds of the world's traded crude oil, is undergoing a major expansion with the addition of crude outside the North Sea for the first time. The inclusion of the US' WTI Midland oil will see deliverable volumes of crude underpinning Dated Brent almost triple in the coming years.
