Platts postpones discontinuation of several rice assessments; proposes discontinuation of associated volatility estimates

Platts is postponing the discontinuation of several daily and weekly rice price assessments until April 1.

Platts previously communicated a discontinuation date of Jan. 2, following a proposal and feedback period, initiated Aug. 29. You can find the details here.

The assessments that will now be discontinued April 1 are as follows:

In addition, Platts proposes to discontinue volatility estimates associated with the above assessments, effective April 1.

There is no volatility estimate associated with the India Long Grain Steam Rice Sharbati 2% Broken FOB FCL assessment.

The price assessments are currently published in Rice Daily and Rice Weekly reports. The last dates of publication of the aforementioned weekly and daily assessments would be March 28, 2025, and March 31, 2025, respectively.
