Platts, part of S&P Global Commodity Insights, is opening a consultation to invite feedback on the assessment methodology and specifications for its Global Molybdenum Oxide Daily Dealer assessment, following preliminary discussions with the market.
The Platts Global Molybdenum Oxide Daily Dealer assessment currently reflects technical-grade moly oxide (roasted molybdenum concentrates) with product specifications of min 57% Mo, max 0.5% Cu, 0.05% Pb, for drummed material.
The daily assessment takes into account all information reported to Platts in the 24-hour period up to 4:30 pm London time each day, except on the last business day of the calendar month, when the cut-off point for information to be included is 1 pm London time.
