Platts to discontinue daily, monthly Canadian OTC natural gas indexes

Platts, a part of S&P Global Commodity Insights, has decided to discontinue the daily and monthly Canadian OTC natural gas indexes, effective Jan. 30, 2023.

The indexes represent trades at the TCPL Alberta, AECO-C, Dawn, Ontario, Westcoast Station 2, and Northwest, Canadian Border (Sumas), and Emerson, Viking locations that were not executed on the ICE NGX exchange.

The daily indexes are published in Gas Daily and Platts alert pages PGN1210 and AGP1210. The monthly indexes are published in Inside FERC First of the Month and Platts alert pages PGN1220 and AGP1220. This decision follows a proposal note published Oct. 13, 2022.
