Platts to update Renewable Energy Certificates in the Renewable Bitcoin Quarq Spread indexes for all US regions

Platts, part of S&P Global Commodity Insights, will update the Renewable Energy Certificate assessments used in the calculation of the Renewable Bitcoin Quarq Spread indexes for all US regions effective Oct. 17, following the discontinuation of several US REC assessments.

The cost of relevant RECs is subtracted from the Bitcoin Quarq spreads published by Platts to calculate the mining profitability using renewable electricity.
