Platts to launch ethyl acetate FOB China, CFR SE Asia weekly spot assessment Nov 5

Platts, part of S&P Global Commodity Insights, will launch ethyl acetate FOB China and CFR Southeast Asia spot assessments, effective Nov. 5. Platts will consider price information for Indonesia, Vietnam, Thailand and Malaysia for the CFR SE Asia assessment. Platts understands that the prices are currently consistent across the key ports in these countries, such as Merak (Indonesia), Vungtao, Haiphong, Dongnai (Vietnam), Bangkok (Thailand), Port Klang and Pasir Gudang (Malaysia). In the event of pricing deviation observed among the different regions, Platts will normalize to basis Indonesia.

The assessments, commentary and rationale will be published on Platts Connect and Solventswire. The weekly assessment will take into consideration price information gathered up to the close of the assessment process at 4:30 pm Singapore time on Tuesdays and follow the Singapore holiday calendar.
