Platts resumes publication of India Long Grain Sharbati Steam 2% Broken

Following the Indian government's reversal of the ban on non-basmati white rice exports, Platts, part of S&P Global Commodity Insights, has resumed the publication of its price assessment for India Long Grain Sharbati Steam 2% Broken (LRCES00), effective Oct. 4.

Platts suspended India Long Grain Sharbati Steam 2% Broken price assessments on Sept. 1, 2023, after the Indian government's indefinite ban on non-Basmati white rice exports.

As a result, Platts has also resumed the publication of the related volatility calculations and monthly averages published under the symbol LRCES03. This price assessment appears in Rice Weekly, with fixed pages: PA2412 and PA3003.
