Platts discontinues biobunkers B30 Rotterdam FAME 0 calculated price from Oct 1

Platts, part of S&P Global Commodity Insights, has discontinued its biobunkers B30 Rotterdam FAME 0 calculated price, effective Oct. 1.

This follows a subscriber note published July 10 confirming the changes, available here, which followed a proposal available here.

The discontinuation of the calculated price reflects the industry's growing need for market-based price assessments of biobunkers and the move away from crop-based feedstock as per FuelEU Maritime legislation.

The assessment is published in Platts Bunkerwire, Biofuelscan Report and Biomass-Based Diesel Report, Platts Biofuel Alert pages 2500 and 2502, and in the Platts price database under the codes mentioned above.
