Platts to launch weekly FOLicht Industrial 99 spot ethanol assessment in Central Europe

Platts, part of S&P Global Commodity Insights, will launch an Industrial 99 Grade DAP Central Europe spot assessment on Oct. 13, as part of the FOLicht European non-fuel ethanol prices, following market feedback.

On Sept. 1, Platts took ownership and launched 23 FOLicht weekly spot and contract European ethanol assessments. Platts began publishing these assessments as part of the migration of these prices from Commodity Insights' biofuel research and analytics coverage.

Details of the assessment are as follows:

The assessment will be published on a weekly basis in both Eur/hl and Eur/cu m.

The assessment will reflect a quality specification of industrial grade ethanol with 99% alcohol by volume.

Delivered at Place (DAP) spot assessments reflect delivery over a 30-day period starting one week forward from the day of publication.

The assessment will reflect a volume size of one to two trucks. Other volumes may be considered and normalized to the assessment specification.

The assessment will be published at 16:30 London time on Mondays and follow the UK holiday calendar. If Monday is a non-publishing day, then the assessment will be published on the previous working day.

The assessment will be published in the Platts Weekly Ethanol report and Platts Biofuels Alert, and will continue to be published in the World Ethanol Price report.

Platts invites all questions and feedback to MRTS_biofuelsandfeedstocks@spglobal.com and pricegroup@spglobal.com.
