Platts proposes volume methodology change for UCO North Asia assessment

S&P Global Platts proposes to change the volume for its UCO North Asia ($/mt) assessment from 300-1,500 mt flexi bags loaded in containers to bulk from 3,000 mt to 10,000 mt parcels, effective November 1, 2021.

Platts has observed that UCO physical market activity has shifted from containers to bulk due to greater demand from destination markets and seeks to reflect the most relevant volume in its physical assessment.

The UCO North Asia ($/mt) assessment appears on Platts Biofuel (PBF) Alert page 2310 and in Platts Biofuelscan, and in the Platts price database under the code AUCOC00.
