Platts to launch new forex rates for its Brazil I-REC assessments Sept 15
Platts, part of S&P Global Commodity Insights, will launch two new daily foreign exchange (forex) rates for its Brazil I-REC assessments, effective Sept. 15, 2025.
The new BRL/USD forex assessment will replace USDRE00, and the new BRL/EUR assessment will replace CAEUR00.
The new forex assessments will convert the underlying Brazil I-REC price assessments, which are published in BRL/MWh, into $/MWh and Eur/MWh, respectively.
The forex assessments will have a 15:30 Mexico City timestamp and will follow the Mexico City holiday calendar to align with the Brazil I-REC assessments.
