SUBSCRIBER NOTE: S&P Global Platts proposes to discontinue two European aluminum assessments

S&P Global Platts is proposing to discontinue two daily price assessments for the European aluminum market from November 1, 2020, due to a lack of liquidity and changes in product flows.

Russian material is included within the "Good Western" specification for Platts' daily duty-paid (AALVE00) duty-unpaid (AALVI00) European aluminum premium assessments,

Details of the assessments proposed for discontinuation are as follows:

The last assessment day would be Friday, October 30, 2020.
