Platts to launch two Urea Ammonium Nitrate CFR US East Coast assessments; change methodology of existing UAN CFR East Coast range assessment
Platts, part of S&P Global Commodity Insights, will launch two weekly price assessments for 32% Nitrogen Urea Ammonium Nitrate Solution, CFR Baltimore, Maryland and CFR Wilmington, Delaware, effective Sept. 4, 2025.
The assessments will capture more granular market activity on the US East Coast and complement Platts' existing coverage of the UAN market in the country.
The assessments will have the following specifications:

The weekly price assessments will be published as a single "close" value to a 16:30 São Paulo timestamp and follow the São Paulo publishing calendar.
Alignment of weekly range assessment methodology
Additionally, the weekly range for Urea Ammonium Nitrate (32%N) CFR USEC $/mt Wkly (FUANF04) will now reflect the lowest and highest values published from the weekly UAN CFR Baltimore, Maryland and UAN CFR Wilmington, Delaware assessments , effective Sept. 4, 2025. No fresh market information will be taken into account.
For example, if on a particular week, UAN CFR Baltimore, Maryland is assessed at $500/mt and UAN CFR Wilmington, Delaware is assessed at $520/mt, UAN CFR USEC (FUANF04) will be assessed at $500-520/mt.
Platts will also align the specifications of the weekly range for Urea Ammonium Nitrate (32%N) CFR USEC $/mt Wkly (FUANF04) with the above mentioned UAN CFR Baltimore, Maryland and UAN CFR Wilmington, Delaware assessments.
The updated specifications for the Urea Ammonium Nitrate (32% N) CFR USEC $/mt Wkly (FUANF04), will be as follows:
