Platts will amend incoterms of US recycled polymer assessments
Platts, part of S&P Global Commodity Insights, will amend the incoterm for most of its US recycled polymer assessments from FOB to ex-works, effective Aug. 1, 2025, in response to market feedback received.
Currently, the US recycled polymer assessments are published on an FOB basis.
The change to ex-works (EXW), which indicates material ready to be picked up by the buyer by railcar or truck at the seller's premises, will better reflect common market practice in the domestic US recycled plastic market.
This change will impact the following daily assessments, in cents/lb, along with all associated averages and conversions:

These assessments are published on the fixed pages PCA0441, PCA0574, and PCA0624, in Polymerscan and Sustainable Polymerscan, Platts Connect and in the Platts price database under the above-mentioned codes.
