Platts proposes to discontinue US NBA, 2-EH, VCM, hexane domestic contract price assessments

Platts proposes to discontinue the weekly contract price assessments for US domestic normal butanol, 2-ethyl hexanol, vinyl chloride monomer and hexane, effective Oct. 7, 2025, in light of a lack of contract market transparency and these assessments' limited relevance.

The assessments, proposed for discontinuation, are currently published in Polymerscan, Solventswire, Platts Connect and Platts Market Center, as well as in the Price Point database under the following symbols:
