Platts, part of S&P Global Commodity Insights, will update the publishing schedule for its Asia Palm, POME and PME assessments to include additional Malaysian national holidays, with effect from July 26, 2024.
This decision follows a proposal published May 15, in a subscriber note available here.
In addition to the current Singapore publishing schedule, the Platts Asia Palm, POME and PME prices will not be published on the Malaysian holidays of Agong's Birthday, Penang Governor's Day, Merdeka Day and Malaysia Day.
Platts would also adopt a Malaysia Time timestamp for its Asia Palm, POME and PME coverage. This change is to align the calendar with one of the largest palm producers globally and reflect the geographic focus of the palm industry.
The following assessments will be affected by this change in publishing schedule:
Assessment Name | Assessment Code |
CPO CFR WC India Mo01 | ACPOE00 |
CPO CFR WC India Mo02 | ACPOB00 |
CPO FOB Indonesia Mo01 | ACPOD00 |
CPO FOB Indonesia Mo02 | ACPOA00 |
RBDP Stearin FOB Indonesia Mo01 | ARBSB00 |
RBDP Stearin FOB Indonesia Mo02 | ARBSA00 |
PFAD FOB Indonesia Mo01 | APFAE00 |
PFAD FOB Indonesia Mo02 | APFAD00 |
Asia POME FOB Indonesia | APOMA00 |
Asia POME FOB Malaysia | APOMB00 |
Biodiesel FOB SE Asia $/Mt | AAVSV00 |
PME vs Crude Palm Oil $/mt | UCFCE00 |
Further information on Platts pricing holiday schedule can be found here.
Bids, offers, trades and indicative values would only be considered for the assessment if they are received before the 1800 Malaysia Time cutoff.
