June 02, 2025
Platts, part of S&P Global Commodity Insights, will amend its weekly Urea Ammonium Nitrate FCA USEC Ex-tank assessment, effective July 3, 2025.
Under this decision, the assessment, which appears under the name Urea Ammonium Nitrate FCA USEC Ex-tank $/st Wkly and the code FUANS04, will be assessed as an FOT-basis assessment going forward and renamed as Urea Ammonium Nitrate FOT USEC.
The assessment, published as a range, will continue to be published every Thursday, with a 16:30 São Paulo time stamp.
Simultaneously, Platts will launch two new assessments that will be used to generate this existing weekly assessment (FUANS04). The two new assessments will be FOT UAN Baltimore, Maryland and FOT UAN Wilmington, Delaware, reflecting the points of greatest spot liquidity on the US East Coast market.
The proposed assessments will capture market activity on the East Coast of the US and complement Platts' existing coverage of the UAN market in the country.
Specifications for the two proposed assessments, which will both be published as single "close" values, will read as follows:
Assessment Name: FOT UAN Baltimore, Maryland
Assessment Name: FOT UAN Wilmington, Delaware
Following these two launches, the new assessments will constitute the generated high and low of the weekly Urea Ammonium Nitrate FOT USEC assessment (FUANS04). No other information will be taken into account.
Platts originally proposed to launch two urea ammonium nitrate FOT East Coast assessments on May 13 in a subscriber note available here.
