Platts, part of S&P Global Commodity Insights, will discontinue its Methane Performance Certificate assessments, effective July 11.
This discontinuation follows the forthcoming July 11 delisting of the underlying MPC contracts by Xpansiv CBL. The announcement made by Xpansiv CBL can be found here.
The last publication date for the assessment will be July 10, 2025. Platts will continue to provide comprehensive coverage of Methane Performance Certificates through to the discontinuation date.
These discontinuations apply to the following assessments:

| AMPCB00 | Methane Performance Certificate Platts 0.1% Threshold MTCO2e reduced at 20-year GWP |
| AMPCB03 | Methane Performance Certificate Platts 0.1% Threshold MTCO2e reduced at 20-year GWP MAvg |
Platts is also requesting feedback on its suite of Methane Intensity Premiums, which are calculated against the daily Methane Performance Certificate price assessment.
The assessments appear in Carbon Markets Daily, as well as fixed pages CMA5001, ETA5001, CMA5002, and ETA5002.
