Platts proposes to update Americas Ammonium Thiosulfate price assessment methodology
Platts, part of S&P Global Commodity Insights, proposes to update the specifications of three Americas Ammonium Thiosulfate price assessments effective July 1.
The amendments would include the introduction of a new "close" value, and amendments to specifications such as quantity and timing to better reflect the Nitrates market activity dynamics in the Americas region. Following the change, the low and high elements of the assessment would be standardised to $1/st above and below the assessed close value.
The basis and location specification of these assessments would be refined to bring more transparency to the characteristics of these price assessments. In addition, the timing specification of these assessments would also be refined to better reflect the market dynamics of each location.
The adjustments and clarified specifications of the weekly assessment is detailed below:
