Platts proposes to discontinue intraday CBL spot, CME futures carbon contract assessments
Platts, part of S&P Global Commodity Insights, proposes to discontinue its 1200 GMT, 1630 GMT Xpansiv CBL Spot carbon contract intraday assessments and CME CBL GEO, N-GEO Futures intraday assessments, effective Aug. 1.
This proposal reflects the lack of market activity for the relevant contracts.
The last publication date for the intraday assessments would be July 31, 2025, and publication would continue as normal until that date. The 1:30 CST Xpansiv-CBL spot settlement assessments are unaffected by this proposal.
