Platts, part of S&P Global Commodity Insights, has launched twelve new weekly Platts FOLicht biodiesel and glycerine assessments, effective May 7, 2025.
Platts now publishes these assessments as part of the migration of prices from Commodity Insights' biofuel research and analytics coverage.
Platts has launched nine biodiesel assessments with the following symbols:
The FOB ARA biodiesel price assessments reflect a delivery period 3-15 days forward (Monday-Tuesday) 5-15 days forward (Wednesday-Friday). The quantity reflected is a minimum size of 1,000 mt and a maximum size of 3,000 mt.
The EXW biodiesel price assessments reflect a delivery period of 1-20 days forward. The quantity reflected is a minimum size of 25 mt, reflecting one truck, the EXW prices also consider rail shipment as well as truck.
Platts has launched one feedstock assessment with the following symbol:
The EXW UCO price assessment reflects a delivery period of 1-20 days forward. The quantity reflected is a minimum size of 25 mt and a maximum size of 1,000 mt, reflecting one truck, the EXW prices also consider rail shipment as well as truck.
Platts has also launched two co-product assessments with the following symbols:
The EXW glycerine price assessments reflect a delivery period of 1-20 days forward. The quantity reflected is in a minimum size of 20 mt, reflecting one truck, the EXW prices also consider rail shipment as well as truck.

The assessments are published in EUR/mt, and reflect a 4:30 pm London time on Wednesday market close and follow a Platts London publishing schedule.
Platts spot price assessments consider market information reported to Platts and published throughout the week, including firm bids and offers, transactions, and indications of value. This information will be published as price heards.
In the absence of observable spot market activity, Platts may consider other verifiable data reported.
