Further to the proposal(opens in a new tab) March 27 to add Plaquemines to North American LNG feedgas cost assessments, Platts, part of S&P Global Commodity Insights, is also proposing to incorporate Plaquemines into the daily computation of the Average US LNG Feedgas Cost (ALNFG00) and Average USGC LNG Feedgas Cost (ALNFH00) from July 1, 2025.
These two average costs, expressed in $/MMBtu, are calculated as a weighted average of the relevant export facilities' feedgas costs based on S&P Global Commodity Insights' daily estimated volume delivered to each facility. The weightings for each export facility in the average USGC and US feedgas cost assessments are reviewed at the beginning of each quarter in accordance with the financial calendar followed by US companies subject to Generally Accepted Accounting Principles. These assessments reflect feedgas cost calculations at 2:30 PM New York time and adhere to the US publishing schedule.
