Platts proposes changes to ammonia freight assessments

Platts, part of S&P Global Commodity Insights, is proposing changes to its ammonia freight assessments, effective May 20, 2024.

Platts is proposing to increase the publishing cadence of its ammonia freight assessments from weekly to daily (Monday-Friday).

Platts is also proposing the launch of central single point assessments for each of the ammonia freight routes currently covered, with standardized high and low ranges $1/mt above (high) and below (low) the central assessment.

The proposed amended assessments will appear in the Ammonia Market Report and will be available via Platts Connect.

The changes will impact the following assessments:

  • Ammonia Freight Caribbean-NW Europe 25kt
  • Ammonia Freight Caribbean-Morocco 25kt
  • Ammonia Freight Caribbean-Morocco 40kt
  • Ammonia Freight Algeria-NW Europe 15kt
  • Ammonia Freight Middle East-NW Europe 25kt
  • Ammonia Freight Middle East-Morocco 25kt
  • Ammonia Freight Middle East-India (1 port W. Coast) 23.5kt
  • Ammonia Freight Middle East-India (2 ports W. Coast) 15kt
  • Ammonia Freight Middle East-India (1 port E. Coast) 15kt
  • Ammonia Freight Middle East-India (1 port E. Coast) 23.5kt
  • Ammonia Freight Middle East-Far East (Taiwan) 23.5kt
  • Ammonia Freight Middle East-Far East (South Korea) 23.5kt
