Platts launches daily global acrylic acid and European acrylates spot assessments

Platts, part of S&P Global Commodity Insights, has launched daily glacial acrylic acid (GAA) assessments in Asia and the US effective April 1.

Additionally, effective April 2, Platts has launched daily GAA, butyl acrylate (BA) and 2-ethylhexyl acrylate (2-EHA) price assessments in Europe, accounting for the Easter Monday public holiday in the UK. Platts will also start databasing US acrylates prices, starting April 15, 2024.

The assessments are based on the latest information sourced from the market up to the close of the day, including firm bids and offers, trades and indicative values, as well as any other data deemed relevant to the assessment process.

The new assessments can be found in Platts Solventswire, and on Platts Connect and accompanied with a weekly commentary, published on Tuesday.

Pricing information for materials with other specifications and terms deviating from the abovementioned parameters may be normalized accordingly.
